April events at Rochdale Pioneers Museum

Defiant Radios Fun Day

In the 1930s, radio manufacturers refused to supply radio sets to co-operatives… so they made their own and called them ‘defiant’. Find out more at our fun day.

You can make your own radio out of recycled cardboard, design a poster to advertise your radio and record your own radio broadcast. Suitable for all the family.

Drop in – no need to book.

Free but donations welcomed.
